The Challenge Words!

EBB & Flow

Glued on to the screen,
addicted to ebbs and flows.
Dude    it’s stock trading.

Difficult to hear
when strong winds are blowing in.
Let that fall away.

Deep in the forest,
Sunlight ebbed    darkness crept in.
Psithurism gushed.

Happy to share that I learnt a new word while concocting this post – Psithurism. It’s pronounced as see-tha-ree-ism, which means the sound of rustling leaves or wind in the trees. Source: Wiki (not available with, For pronunciation: YouTube.

Sinusoidal curves,
Sea waves ebb and flow likewise.
Our lives    otherwise?

This is a kinda eulogy to one of the finest actors Indian Bengali cinema had produced, named Soumitra Chatterjee. He passed away yesterday in Kolkata at age of 85 following Covid complications. Lots of childhood memories for me, with he playing a lead detective agent (like Sherlock Holmes) in a book series, followed by films, for an Oscar winning director, another gem named Satyajit Roy. Read in the news

That shooting star ebbed,
Shed plenitude of glitter.
Deluge of flashbacks.

And finally, one with the prompt words in the title, breaking the rules. 🙂

Ebb and Flow

Garboiled with these words,
As they almost mean the same.
A lame excuse though.

Thank you so much. Highly appreciate this. Yes, I am having a lot of fun with Haikus now. And Ronovan made it even sweeter, wish I found him earlier. 🙂

      Life’s all about fun,
      Unending trials to find peace,
      Bits of ebbs and flows.

Oh, another Haiku to your response.
      Have a nice day!
